Good press before the launch night

Nottingham’s local press have done the band proud and talked up a storm before the upcoming album launch. There’s a video interview with This Is Live here.  Nusic have also recommended the show as one of their gigs of the week and also written a little mini review of the album, which can be found here. Last, but by no means least, Waitt Unsigned have written an in depth review of the album here. Make sure you visit and have a look when you get the chance

The hardest working band in showbusiness…

As of right now the second album is finished and is currently being mastered ready for pressing in August. The Monstrous Dead have some fantastic gigs booked in July and August, and are playing some of the best shows of their lives, so if you aren’t at them then you’re missing out (Check out the shows page for details). Unbelievably Tim and the band are also set to start working on album three in early August.

The new drums, bass and guitar lineup has already been praised in the local press (http://www.leftlion.co.uk/articles.cfm/id/3601) and Tim is currently booking a host of new gigs, including a support slot for folk rocker Jon Allen at The Bodega Social in Nottingham on June 15th.

What Tim is up to right now…

The majority of the second album is tracked (8 songs or so), and we can expect to see it released by June(ish) at the very latest. Tim is not playing too many gigs at present as he’s too busy in the studio, but has been booked by friends Farmyard Records to play a show in late February.

Timothy J turns producer

For those of you who wondered just what Tim’s been doing since his last post (in December!) He’s mainly been writing new material, playing the odd sporadic gig and producing fellow Nottingham artist Will Jeffery’s EP. The as-yet untitled release should be available in August and is shaping up to be fantastic…Keep your eyes and ears peeled!

Leftlion, we love you

Nottingham culture magazine Leftlion have written a fantastic review of the Album in their December/January edition, and have also featured Tim in their Sound of The Lion podcast, which can be found here. It’s a really great show so you should have a listen. Tim has played at Leftlion’s Hockly Hustle event at the Broadway for the past two years, and is an avid reader (he even has the limited edition tea towel they produced)  so it’s really great to have their support.
